12 Mystery Ingredients in Fast Food & The Problem with Natural Flavors


12 Mystery Ingredients Commonly Found in Fast Foods:


  1. Propylene Glycol – it absorbs water and is used as a solvent (helps disperse and dissolve) in food colorings and spice concentrates. Found in Subway’s breakfast sandwiches. It is also used in deodorant sticks and antifreeze.

  2. L-Cysteine – 80% of l-cysteine is derived from feathers. It is used for enriching beef flavor and is also added to baked goods. It is used in baked hot apple pie or in Cinnamon rolls at McDonald’s.

  3. Cellulose – used as a thickening agent. It is added to cheese, strawberry syrup and salad dressings. It is found in McDonald’s fillet of fish and Oreo McFlurry. It is also in Taco Bell’s Nacho Chips and Wendy’s Frosty and KFC’s Popcorn Chicken.

  4. Carminc Acid – a Red Food Dye that is extracted from insects called Cochineal. It is added to processed poultry such as Chicken Nuggets.

  5. Azodicarbonamide – a chemical used to bleach flour and make dough elastic. It is widely used in Bagels, Pizza, Tortillas, Hamburgers, and Pastries. The primary used of Aziodicarbonamides is in plastics and rubber products, like yoga mats and flip flops.

  6. Caramel Coloring – it is created in a reaction between sugars, ammonia, and sulfites. It has been linked to thyroid, liver and lung cancer.

  7. Mechanically Separated Meat – it is a paste like poultry product. It is produced by forcing bones with edible tissue through a sieve. This helps separate the edible tissue from the bones. Most fast food chicken nuggets contain it. We consume it in hot dogs, salami, and burgers.

  8. Silicon Dioxide – typically used to make glass, cement and ceramic. It is also used as an Anti-Caking Agent in meat based foods. Silicon Dioxide can be found in Wendy’s Chili and Taco Bell Chili.

  9. Ammonium Sulfate – commonly used as a soil fertilizer. In baking it is used as a Dough Enhancer. We consume it in Hamburger Buns and Bread Products.

  10. Sodium Nitrite – a preservative used for curing Deli Meats and Bacon. It is also used as a Coloring Agent to make Old Meat appear fresh. Consuming too much Sodium Nitrite can cause Pancreatic Cancer.

  11. Food Dyes – the most suspicious food dyes are Red 40 and Yellow 5 and Yellow 6. These dyes can potentially cause health problems. They range from Hyperactivity in Children to Brain Cancer.

  12. Dimethylpolysiloxane – a form of silicone also used in cosmetic. It is an ingredient used to keep Fryer Oil from Foaming. McDonald’s Fillet of Fish and French Fries both contain it.




PART II – The Problem with “Natural Flavors”


How did we go from Real Food to Fake Food?


Philip Morris (now Altria) and RJR Reynolds came in and bought General Foods and Kraft Foods and they took the technology of how they learned to hook people on cigarettes and used that same technology in “Food Flavoring.”


When you see it on a Food Ingredient Label it is called “Natural Flavor.”


There could literally be THOUSANDS of different Chemicals behind that one label.


If you find a product that only has 3 ingredients on the label, do not think that there are just 3 ingredients. There could be Thousands.


This is a huge FDA Loophole that allows Food Companies to put any kind of chemical around that “Natural Flavor” label.


These Natural Flavors create the “addicting” taste that makes you want more and more.


Pepsi uses a Robot that Mimics Human Taste Buds to test how Addictive their products are. The more addictive, the more we will buy them.


They target the addictive part of the brain so we can’t stop eating the products. Think potato chips – can you eat just one?


They want you to remember that product when you see the ads and the pictures on the bags or boxes.


They want your mouth to salivate when you see or think of the product.


MSG has been relabeled in the NATURAL Ingredient Category.


NATURAL.


One would believe that the word “Natural” implies that it is a “SAFE” ingredient2. If a food is natural and not interfered with, how could it be harmful in any way right2?


The world “Natural” is a deliberate, intentional word to deceive people into believing “non-MSG” and “non-Chemical.”


It’s a lie.


Don’t let the term “natural” fool you. Natural flavors contain MSG.


MSG – Monosodium Glutamate is found in 95% of processed foods, used to “enhance” flavor.


MSG was first manufactured in 1909 and boy have things changed since then as the “Chemical” companies began playing with it.


It is really used to make you addicted to sh*tty, processed “food.”


MSG used to be in EVERY Ingredient list. Anything in a Can, Jar or Carton contained MSG.


The amount of MSG wasn’t disclosed and there is a reason because some manufacturers put sh*t loads in their products.


Why did they put it in their products? To make them taste good.


MSG is ADDICTING! They wanted you to be addicted to their product like a druggie loves his Heroin.


They want the neurons to be constantly stimulated by these intense “Natural Flavors”.


Today, MSG is not listed in the ingredient list.


Why is MSG no longer listed?


Because people began learning about it, figuring out it was toxic and learning that it causes multiple health symptoms, and learning that manufactures don’t have to tell how much they add – so people began complaining.


Once the manufactures got wind that people were figuring the MSG game out, MSG was magically removed from labeling.


People were still sick and they found out that MSG was still in the products – just removed from the labels.


So for a brief period MSG was actually removed, but the products were not as tasty and addictive.


The manufactures once again had a 911 emergency meeting which they colluded to do a “Switcheroo” – since MSG is a “natural” substance and is found in small amounts in some foods, they could just change the name from MSG to Yeast, Artificial Flavors, Fermentation Flavors, Soy Products, Protein Isolate and yes, even “Natural Flavors” and then people would stop b*tching.


It’s kind of like the global financial crisis of 2008 when they packaged up good loans with subprime loans but still gave the collateralized debt obligations a Triple A – AAA rating.


Same type of deception.


They did this and it worked. People believed they removed MSG from their products and the complaining stopped and people were still getting sick, but since they believed that it couldn’t be MSG in their products, the focus on MSG went away.


A sneaky devious plan by the industry, that came together perfectly.


Very few noticed this switcheroo.


Some noticed that the word Natural Flavors began appearing on Ingredient Lists but the dots to MSG were not connected.


Today our brains are literally addicted to these “Natural Flavors.”


We can even suffer withdrawal symptoms if we stop consuming them.


This why when we go a diet that our ancestors ate 100 to 200 years ago, the food is perceived to taste like sh*t. The truth is that we have been conditioned to like sh*t and conditioned to not like the food that is truly healthy natural medicine to us.


We have even come to believe that “GOOD” tasting food must be “Healthy” because how could something that stimulates the brain to want more be bad.


That is how f*cked up we are as a society and it is all because they have literally fed us brain stimulants in our food.


The chemical industry did that with scents also, the scents that give us that “drug” stimulating feeling when we smell it is now associated with “Cleanliness” and “Health” and the smells of the true natural foods are perceived as “stinky” or bad smelling foods.


It is crazy how the food industry has inverted what is good and what is bad. They flipped what is healthy and what is not healthy – making people actually believe white is black and black is white.


There can be up to 80,000 different chemicals found in “Natural Flavors.”


What is scary is Natural Flavors can be added to Organic Foods.


Almost ALL Health Foods have Natural Flavors in it.


The really love to get our children addicted at a young age with the juice boxes, cereals and baby formulas. The mindset of these greedy corporations is sickening.


There are 4,000 patents on placing “Free Glutamate” in the Natural Flavor, Flavoring and Flavors Ingredient Label.


Anytime you see the words – Flavor, Flavoring, or Natural Flavors – RUN away from that product as fast as you can.


What is the Purpose?


To make us believe that food tastes good.


They can put this stuff in sh*t and sell it and people would think the sh*t tastes good.


What is really bad is that they are putting Natural Flavors in our supplements. Always read the ingredient labels.


Remember the keywords – anything with letters flavor in it – Natural Flavor, Flavoring and Flavor. Now they are starting to put words before like “Organic Flavoring”, “Berry Flavors”, Citric Flavors, Fruit Flavoring, Caramel Flavoring, Lemon Flavor, Vanilla Flavor – ANY word with FLAVOR in it is the ultimate Red Flag – Stop sign telling you can there are potent addicting chemicals added.


They don’t want you knowing this.


The word trickery of the food industry is truly despicable.


Anything extra added to a supplement or food is not needed and is added for the reason to trick your brain into liking the product.


The sad part of this is that once we are addicted it is a battle of the mind to chose healthy foods.


You know you are addicted when you literally cannot stop eating foods that you KNOW are toxic and doing the body harm.


That is why we have a very Sick Nation.


We are “hooked” on foods that harm the human body.


Then the “treatments” from our “healthcare” are nothing but one band-aid after another that leads one cut after another.


The game is death by a thousand cuts.
